Our Gold Testing Process
We combine traditional expertise with modern technology to deliver accurate assessments while maintaining the integrity of your piece.
Our process includes:
- Visual Inspection – Our jeweller examines hallmarks, craftsmanship, and visual indicators of gold quality.
- Electronic Testing – Using non-invasive digital testers, we measure the metal’s electrical conductivity to determine purity.
- Acid Testing (if needed) – A precise chemical method that confirms karat level. This is done carefully and only when required.
- XRF Analysis (upon request) – For high-value or complex pieces, we use X-ray fluorescence to provide a detailed metal composition breakdown.
You’ll receive a clear explanation of your results, including the karat purity, type of gold, and any other metals present in the piece.
